WHO WE ARE
Working Women Welfare Trust (WWWT) is a nonprofit, PCP certified & EAD registered organization which has directed its efforts towards the betterment and welfare of women who are compelled to assume the role of bread winners (either solely or in part) for their families.
WHAT WE DO
With the passage of time the organization’s struggle for its cause has taken many forms.
On one hand the trust is trying to create employment opportunities for the under privileged rural women whereas on the other hand it raises voice for the betterment of working conditions of those who are already in jobs of various sorts.
Working Women Welfare Trust WWWT organizes Workshops, Seminars, Discussion forums & Press Conferences and enhances the women cause.
We believe in women empowerment with knowledge that instills ethical and positive values.
Hunar banae Zindagi
The project comes under the Poverty Alleviation Program which is working for the welfare of illiterate but skilled women of Pakistan who have extraordinary art in their hand.We envisage the accomplished, self reliant prosperous working women, who would stand out as an asset to their families and society.

Project overview
- A team visit is arranged every week to the poor women in cattle colony.
- Complete raw material including quality fabric, threads, design etc. is provided to them.
- Professionals and Fashion Designer provide the selected material as per urban style, fashion and current trend.
- Embroided/eplic/took work 3 pc ladies suits, trouser, stoles, bed covers, cushions, floor cushions, frames, and trays are prepared by these women.
- Finished Products are collected and payments are made accordingly.
- Those finished products are then passed through standard market procedures of Laundering, Finishing and Packing.
- These hand embroided articles are then introduced and market access is provided to them through different exhibitions at national and private level digital media marketing, solo exhibitions etc.
Hafeez from Goharabad
She is a widow and belongs to an underprivileged and impoverished locality Goharabad in Karachi. She is WWWT's worker for the last ten years. The income she receives for her needle work has enabled her to raise her two daughters, meet all her expenses and now has married off her daughters respectfully
Irshad Bibi from Jamra
She is a courageous lady who has been working for WWWT projects for the past several years. She appreciates WWWT‘s efforts which has provided her with a comfortable source of income through her needle work skill. Working from her home, this extra source of income enabled her to educate her children and now her eldest son is working as a CSP officer in the Foreign Service department
Fauzia from Shikarpur’s outskirts
She was born deaf and dumb but God Almighty blessed her with other talents. She excels in embroidery skills and creates beautiful pieces of work. She has been associated with WWWT projects which have made her economically strong and independent and enable her to overcome her disability with dignity.
Umme Salma from Larkana’s nearby Goth
She is unfortunately unmarried because family could not find a match for her. She also could not go out to work. Extreme poverty compelled her to join WWWT projects. The earnings she receives for her embroidery and needle work has enabled her to independently meet her economic needs as well as save some amount for the future.
Our Target
We target the real issues:Extreme Poverty, illiteracy, lack of opportunities, lack of awareness, & social pressure. In order to cope with this, We are striving to provide income-generating opportunities to poor women at their doorsteps in rural areas and slums in Karachi to help alleviate poverty and beggary. We are aiming to equip working women with value-based knowledge, technical skills, and awareness about their economic, social rights and responsibilities.
